The Data Interaction Group is hiring a Machine Learning + Data Visualization research associate (RA). The RA will create interactive visualization systems to contribute to the Group’s research, primarily focused on human-AI interaction. The intern will assist with the development and implementation of research tools and collaborate in writing research papers. The candidate should have front-end experience with Streamlit, Svelte.js or D3.js and back-end experience with Python and machine learning frameworks.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Uses a variety of software packages to input, manipulate, collect, and record results or observations.
- Performs research experiments following experimental protocol and procedures. Researches and documents information by compiling and maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Summarizes statistical information for analysis, examination, or presentation; writes technical reports. May build and validate quantitative models.
- Identifies problems and obstacles to progress; develops strategies to solve problems.
- May program software in support of job functions. Attends project meetings.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Research experience and data collection and analysis experience.
- Strong problem solving, reasoning, analytical and communication skills.
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
