Foreign Workers US Job Search: How Jobright Uses AI to Assist Workers in Navigating the US Job Market

Jobright.ai is a California-based startup. It is reforming the job search experience for foreign workers in the United States. By identifying the unique challenges faced by non-immigrant job seekers, especially those seeking H1-B visa sponsorships, Jobright has introduced an advanced and pioneering solution. Jobright’s platform incorporates an “H1-B filter” by powering data from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This filter allows users to identify job opportunities explicitly from companies that historically offer H1-B visa sponsorships.

The feature has gained noteworthy traction among foreign workers, particularly those from India and China. These individuals often encounter obstacles in securing work visas due to the competitive job market and complex immigration processes. By restructuring the search process, Jobright authorizes users to focus on relevant job openings, increasing their chances of successful employment.

Co-founder Eric Cheng himself is an immigrant. He understands the struggles faced by foreign job seekers firsthand. Drawing from his experiences, he developed an AI agent within Jobright that acts as a personalized headhunter. The AI agent recommends positions based on candidates’ skills, compatibility, and visa eligibility. Moreover, it assists users in connecting with potential job recommendations through their LinkedIn contacts.

Since its launch in April, Jobright has attracted an impressive 50,000 registered users without any marketing expenditure. The platform’s success highlights the critical need for tailored solutions in the job market, especially for those navigating the complexities of immigration.

Jobright’s mission spreads beyond sheer job matching. It also aims to authorize foreign workers with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in the US job market. As the platform continues to evolve, it remains committed to bridging the gap between talent and opportunity, nurturing a more complete and accessible employment landscape.
